The family will be traveling to Phoenix for a week in mid June. Just wondering if anyone has any experience fishing in the area? Any info or tips would be greatly appreciated.

I have a friend down there and he has said there’s a few city lakes that have good largemouth and big bluegills or bream.

If you can get a boat head up to Lake Pleasant there is some good fishing to be had up there fish the quiet coves and you should do fine just a heads up be sure to fish early A.M. Or you will be burnt to a crisp after 11am good luck oh almost forgot about Bartlett lake there are some good cribs to fish there hope this helps

If you’re up for a little trip, there’s some great trout fishing from shore in many lakes along the Mogollon Rim east of Payson (about 90 miles from Phoenix). An escape from the desert heat or the beautiful scenery alone might make it worth the trip.

Thanks for the leads gentlemen! Not too excited about the heat, but we are heading down for a graduation.
