I have a 2006 Trailblazer LS with P255/70R16 tires. My question is would a set of P265/75R16 tires fit without any modification like spacers or lift kit and what not?

P255/70R16 tires = 10.04″ x 30.05″
P265/75R16 tires = 10.43″ x 31.64″
Assuming you use the same rims they will stick in further by .195″ and be .795 taller in your wheel well if that helps any….

Would that be a snug fit against the Upper Ball jointMarch 19, 2014 at 2:28 pm #1397562If you change the size of tires to something other than what came on the vehicle it will throw the speedometer off. It will also confuse the speed sensor and you will get a check engine light on.
March 19, 2014 at 3:25 pm #1397578I don’t think that much will cause any problems. Just check your clearance before you mount your tires. You can always reprogram your computer to that tire size but I don’t think you’ll need to.

My truck came w/255-70/20″ > rode like an old buck-board!
I went as high up as law allowed(not more than 3mph)…275-70/20″ Two full sizes.
@ 30 MPH my speedo is 2 MPH over. Get this, set the damn cruise @ 60 and your going 62 and you’ll never get a 2nd look from our good friends that patrol our roads fact they may just as they go by.
Here’s a tool to use: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalcold.html
Oh, and what a huge difference in handling and RIDE! Do it! Make the change > I doubt if you’ll ever regret it….
