    Maybe we’ll finally learn the truth about Pepie.

    Just in case the link doesn’t work…

    LAKE CITY, Minn. (KTTC) – Lake City will be hopping next week as two film crews come to town in search of the infamous lake monster known as “Pepie”.

    According to a release, film crews from both the Travel Channel and the Discovery Channel will be in Lake City next Monday through Friday.

    The Travel Channel is filming a brand new series called “Monster Destinations.”

    It will air next summer and feature Lake Pepin and its elusive lake monster in one of 13 episodes.

    Pepie will also be featured in an episode of “Monsters and Mysteries in America” on the Discovery Channel.

    Officials say that episode is set to air sometime in next spring.

    I hope they get some good shots of her.

    I’ve seen her several times when she’s come up the river.

    She always amazes my clients.

    I cannot believe they are wasting time and money looking around lake Pepin for Pepie. That is ridiculous.

    Everyone know She moves up into the river in the winter.

    Everyone knows the sightings are far more frequent in the summer. Especially after a couple cocktails on a cruiser.

    Every time I see that picture I chuckle. Not because of what you see in the photo, but of Kerry Harvey trying to take the picture while uncontrollably shaking.

    Pepi won’t stand a chance if she shows her face around camper #9.
