Great day Sat with 30 Wounded Warriors on leech lake from trappers landing. James the Vet I took out was wounded in Irag blowen out of a guard tower by a rocket.
During our trip he said if I dont catch a fish today this day is special. Hes 100% disabled with PTSD and was with the BIG RED One same unit I was with in Viet Nam. Thanks James it was an honor to have you in my boat hes holding a 22″ walleye first walleye he ever caught.
Thanks to Trappers landing who hosted this and served a dandy fish fry Bob landerville who set it up With Greg Clark and Ted Gwinn. We also caught a 16.5 smallie and I had the big fish of the day 24.5″. looking forward to next years event.
