Looking to get a Shimano Tekota. Not sure what size to get and how you like them. Will use it long lineing the river for the most part. Thanks for the info!!!

I have 300s, 500s, and 600s. I use the 300s for 3 ways, planer boards, and long lining. 500s for wireline, and the 600s for leadcore. The clicker is a little tough to turn on and off but that is my only complaint. They are smooth as silk in comparison to the Daiwa sealines that they replaced.

I agree, 300 will handle braid, mono etc. great. Have 600’s that I don’t use, they were a little bulky to handle all day. Went to 500’s for lead that work great. They are definitely worth the extra money.

How do the 500s handle the lead line. I am currently using a 600 and wouldn’t mind trying the smaller sized reel. Any pros or cons you have to offer? Can you still get all 10 colors on the spool?
