Looking forward to tomorrow’s game featuring two Big Ten teams ranked in the top 10. Nice for once for this game not to be Ohio St – Michigan. And featured on ABC primetime. I mean, how many times can we watch Alabama – LSU year after year.

    So who you taking?

I’m going with the Badgers because of home field advantage and they have a little more age or seasoning on there side.
Either way it should be a great game

planting myself on a stool up at Kozy Korner and enjoying the game. Badgers by 10. a buddy of mine sold two of his seats to Husker fans. $750.00 per seat! that will pay for his season tickets for next year.

Let the mother of all Big Ten Weekends begin! Husker fans are already walking all over down town and the bars on State St appear to be full already. We have the best college game on tap this weekend, an undefeated Packers game on Sunday, and two post season baseball games this weekend. Temps are cool and breezy today. If the Badgers come out throwing the ball it might be a long day for the Cornhuskers. Badgers 35 Huskers 10 is my prediction.

voted Badgers just because I see too many corn heads around here and they all think they will rule the Big 10 easily.

I think you may be surprised at the “Home Field Advantage.” I think it will be diminished dramatically by Husker Fans filling the stadium.

I also think Wisconsin be surprised by the overall team speed on both Offense and Defense for the Huskers.

Huskers win their first BIG Conference game in a hostile (normally) environment. The original Big Red by 10+.

Diminished drastically??? You got to be joking. Have you ever been to Camp Randall in a big game like this? The Badger fans will have the camp ROCKIN Badgers by 10 pts.

Personally I don’t care who wins or even if it ends in a tie. Nebraska will add to the Big Ten and make it a better conference.

Easy money tonight will be made down in the bars. You will find guys from both sides willing to give 16 points on this one.

Over confidence & cockiness has reigned supreme in Wisconsin, Nebraska and Ohio State for years. Something will give tomorrow.

honestly, I’ve been to both football fields on game day and will say the Huskers fans are a league of their own. Their fans travel well, just as Wisc does, but like I said….I will wait till the Hawks go to Lincoln and try to snag some tickets the day after Thanksgiving

Badgers for one reason. Balance, if that “Speed” of Nebraska can shut down the passing game, good luck matching speed up against the beef on the Wisconsin O line to stop the run.

As long as Bucky can stop the big pass plays it should be a Wisconsin win by 10. If they give up some 30+ yard pass plays it’ll be a lot closer and could go either way.

    GO BUCKY!!!!!!!!!!

Might be a few that get in to the stadium. I actually appreciate our good friends from Lincoln coming up north and spending their egg and moonshine money on non-rice formula beer and bad seats. I figure if that power house Wyoming can score two TDs on the speedy husker D, the Badgers are going to have a field day on them.

Gonna be a good one. Hopefully the badgers establish the line of scrimmage so wilson can do his thing and the nation can see that this guy could be a dark horse for the HEISMAN!!

Really you are going to pull the Wisconsin arrogance card again. I read a post from you last week where you told us (Wisconsin folks) to stay out. Why don’t you take your own advice and stay the hell out of the Wisconsin posts!

    SteveO,
I’m sorry. I thought I had read capacity was 75-80,000. Alvarez was estimating there to be 30,000 husker fans in the stadium, but other estimates are up to 40,000 (which will not shock me.) If half of the stadium is visitors, the impact of home field advantage would be diminished.

Now if it is only a third, maybe not.

It should be a great game. Good luck to all Wisconsin fans. However, I stand by my prediction.

    75,000 to 80,000 is correct.
40,000 corn huskers in the stadium…..never going to happen.
    I might believe 20,000 though.

Other than cheering, how will we know? Both teams are red/white??

I know Nebraska travels well but 20,000 in stadium? Depends on whether WI is full of econ majors or phy ed?

    If econ, it’s possible.

I stand corrected. Heard from a husker buddy today that it could be 30k. He mentioned the ND game. Could happen. If I had a 49 dollar ticket and could sell for 500 I would do it and watch it at Jingles

Have to go with the Badgers, no other choice especially because I am a student there, but have always been a Badger fan. The campus has been buzzing with excitment all day for this game. I got to see all of ESPN’s vehicles and such today too. I have to say pretty darn cool, too bad I have a ton of homework to do so won’t be able to go to the game.

This game will set the tone for the entire season for both teams. Badgers are the better team on paper. But games aren’t decided by paper. Turnover margin and whomever controls the line of scrimmage wins the game.

Huskers by 6. We should wear them down and take control in the second half.

I know you guys have some big boys but have you seen the beef on the oline for UW? If the badgers can run the ball just a little bit in the first half cornshuckers will be sucking air in the second half!! 31-17 Uw. Book it!

I haven’t bet on the Huskers since the Colorado game in 2001. I have had too much heartbreak in the last 10 years to talk smack or make overly bold predictions. Wisconsin has not played anyone yet. Neither has Nebraska. I haven’t seen enough from either team to give me a good read on this game. But I will be glued to the screen until the fat lady sings.

The estimate of 20-30,000 fans is just the fans who are travelling to Madison. There will not be that many in the stands, but you can count on seeing quite a few inside Camp Randall. The rest will be in the parking lot. And hey, you should get to know them. There will be some a-holes, just like any school has (and, like any school, the a-holes are the ones who get noticed), but most will be pretty cool, win or lose.

I know I’m a bit biased, but I think Pelini will have this team ready to go. Huskers by 7. Go Big Red!

Butt whuppin of epic proportions. Between 5 and ten thousand Husker fans in stadium. That number comes for from an estimate by a Lincoln NE newspaper.
Brewers win, badgers win, now let’s close the triumvirate.
