    Which do you prefer?

Pug, we’re talking face not legs here.

I prefer a straight razor. Gets a closer shave and doesn’t pull the hair like an electric does.

    I don’t understand the question.

I’ve been using the Gillette Atra Plus for years. I just can’t see paying the prices they charge for the newer stuff. I tried an electric for a bit, but found that there were some areas of my beard that it just couldn’t get cleanly. Of course, there are probably better electrics on the market now.

Oh Shoot Slack! You should have told me 60 posts ago. I would have had a beer in celebration.

No, just need a new razor.

I have a Merkur HD (modern double edge) razor that I generally use. But I have some straights and some single edge razors as well. Soap and brush is the only way to shave!

I buy a bag of the cheap disposable ones once a year, shave in the shower, one lasts a month or so. Not sure what the bfd is?

Straight razor.Point chin at ceiling.Starting at left ear and holding razor firmly in right hand use as much power as you can muster, pull blade sharply to the right, stopping when you reach right ear.Repeat until you no longer see wiskers in mirror.

Nair, safer than Stuart’s method. Mirrors in the shower can be dangerous.

    Nair stinks too bad.

    Electric or Gillette Fusion.

I have never found a good one until the Fusion.

    Nair stinks too bad.

BOTH – depends on the situation. If I really need to be close “date night” I sue the safety. If just daily stuff, electric – how much time do I have to shave etc etc

Looks like the old safety razor wins out.

    Interesting.

Actually until last year I used an old strait razor and a shaving mug. Great shave but easy to cut yourself.
