Hit the Croix early in hopes of finding a active walleye bite. Our plan was to live bait rig and go to cranks if we had to. Well we never had time to get the cranks out! we found active fish from 8-18′. We had to sort thru a good number of 14-14.5″ eye’s but found two different sand flats that were holding some decent size walleye’s.

We ended up with 11 in the box 10 walleyes and one sauger. Number one rule in my boat is all walleye’s over 20″ must be released (unless tournament fishing)! Nothing over 20″ today but managed 10 that were from 16.5-19.75″.

    Nice fish Tyler!

Nice mess guys! I didn’t get to fish today but did drive over the Croix on 94 and it looked like an awesome day to be out. Thanks for the report.
