Anyone have any ice reports for the Turtle Flambeau? Up in PArk Falls?
Hey Jim,
This is SteveO from the FTR board. I fish the flowage in the summertime. try this

I was in Park falls this weekend, stopped in at the St. Croix rod factory the guy at the counter said there was about 4 inches on butternut lake. And there wasnt any good fishing reports throughout the area. I was fishing on two smaller lakes 15 mile west of there and there was 4-7 inches of ice and the fishing was slow at best.
Well, fishing on the Flambeau was sporadic. The largest walleye caught was a 3-4 pounder landed by my good luck charm(my wife)! Most action(as those of you who fish the flowage know) came on tip-ups tipped with shiners. We did get a few jigging and had some very large marks on the vexilars that would come up a couple times then move on. It was cold!
Only about 5 inches of ice as of Sunday the 30th!
