Overall fishing was slow yesterday, but thought I’d make a short note.
mainly we fished the SW side on the midlake deep hole.
Bluegills were quite numerous, and related mainly to the bottom.
we worked a large area with around 40 holes, from 23 to 30 feet deep.
most of the Crappies were negative, and just lookers.
what worked the best was a glow demon with a half crappie minnow hooked on.
Just about all the Crappies caught were from 12 to 16 feet down. again most were just lookers, but they preferred the half minnow over our other offerings.

Ice conditions, I thought, were quite good. had about 2 feet of solid ice, and you could drive just about anywhere you wanted without difficulty.
The water was surprizingly quite clear.

Thanks for the report Jack. Thats a nice lake that has some really nice crappies and gills in it.

    Thanks, Bill
