The lake is open. I saw one boat out only. The public access is ice clear. I did see many small ponds on the waythat were frozen over. The D&R stock ponds were crusted. With the temps getting into the near 40’s it may be some time yet before we get on good ice.
Be safe, wait for good ice. Early ice demands that you fish with a friend, wear a life jacket walking out and a have a set of ice-picks…. and have a long rope with you too.
