South Central MN Suggestions?

    Greetings All,

    Looking to take my two kids (ages 5 & 9) ice fishing on Friday. Due to poor ice conditions in my area my wife has forbidden me to fish locally so I am going to have to head north.

    I would like to stay within a 3 hour drive from Cedar Falls, IA. I have been thinking of Clear Lake near Waseca but don’t have much to go on.

    Any suggestions for a south central Minnesota Lake with good ice and some fish to entertain the kids?

    Madison lk is 14mi west of Clear
    nice crappies have been going (9-13in)
    hit the bait shop in town on hwy 60
    they will put you on fish
