Spent a 3 day weekend on the big pond. Friday was an excellent day on the water with several fish over 20 inches. Finding fish with in the slot was a bit tough. Saturday, we still caught fish, but the bite gradually got tougher until we left sunday AM. Best presentation seemed to be a slow one, with a live minnow. Tip ups and dead stick caught most of the fish. I did get the opportunity to catch a few fish on the salmo chubby darters. Man those things look awesome on the camera! I really liked catching fish on those without bait. If the fish start biting more agressively those chubbies are gonna rip some lips. We were fishing a rock sand transition in 25- 30 feet of water.
Ice was about 13″ and a little rough. Atvs were a must out there.
