Fished Mille Lacs on Friday. What a beautiful day, clear skies, high in the 80’s. Not optimal walleye conditions, but a great day to be on the water. Spent most of the day in the Southeast part of the lake. Dragging leaches seemed to produce the best results. The hot combo seemed to be a red hook and single bead above the hook. Didn’t end up with huge numbers, but managed a few 14-18 inchers and two nice 21″ and 22″. All in all it was a pretty slow day, but I still had a great time and can’t wait to get back up there.

A buddy and I fished on Saturday. What a beautiful day! The sun was shinning and the breeze was blowing just enough for some chop.
We fished out of Agate Bay and headed straight to some of the flats that are scattered West of the Agate Bay rocks. Some of the flats were holding active fish and others were not. We boated a number of fish throughout the day. Presentation that seemed to work best were leeches on longer snells (6′-9′). At dusk we joined the masses on the rocks and slip bobbered for some fast end of the day action.
