This last weekend was another fairly solid trip for smallies. I ended up working various rock piles from the east side of the lake all the way to the west side. The fish were not nearly as aggressive as I found the weekend before. My best success came pitching grubs and tubes on light jig heads and dragging them back to the boat ever so slowly. Best fish of the weekend was 5 lbs. 6 oz. Sunday was the better day for numbers of fish. Between my girlfriend and I we had 34 fish. I am hoping we get some warm, still weather to make the topwater bite take off a little.
