Cool weather makes for some hot fishin!

Walleye bite on Leech Lake and most area lakes has been really good. Especially the deep water bite of Walker Bay of Leech Lake. Cedar Point in 30-50’ has produced many fish this past week on Northland Fire-Ball jigs tipped with a fathead or rainbow minnow. Also a good walleye bite has been occurring on Pine Point, Hardwoods, Stoney and Sugar when the wind has been blowing in to them. Again a jig/minnow combo is best in depths of 8-14’.

Muskie Trollers are few and far between, however some nice mid 40” fish reported from the Leech Lake Guides this past week. This action should continue until freeze-up.
