Heading to Leech on Monday for the first time, staying at the Shores of Leech Lake in Walker Bay. Good place to start in Walker Bay or venture out to the main lake? Jigs, rigging or cranks for early season? Any advice greatly appreciated.
I haven’t fished it yet but I would think you could find fish in steamboat bay (mounds). Then its not far out to the west side of the big lake. Joes landing, Star point, little and big hardwood points & pine point to mention a few spots. Lots of 10ft water on the west side of the big lake. Im sure many methods would work but most are jig and minnow now.
