I took a buddy and his son out to a local bluegill pond. We only had about an hour to fish, since we got a late start, but still got Justin on some gills.
Diamond Jigs and ratsos were the bait of choice.

Where you tipping the diamond jig at all?
Ratsos were bare, Diamond Jigs we tipped with spikes. Would have been nice to have a little more time, but with the thick fog Im glad we left when we did. Now we have a coating of ice/freezing rain on everything, so probably wont make it anywhere today.
Thanks for the post. There is not much that is more fulfilling than taking a young one out catching gills.
