I’m from C.R. & have never been there. I heard the crappies are running 10 & 11 inches adverage. any feed back would be helpfull. Also those 8 inchers down at Coralville are for the most part out and resting now. Probably the same for Hawthorn. [ John ]

Have to agree with you there – went out last Wednesday and only hooked up with 5 crappies on MacBride. All deep and tight to cover (10′ or deeper). Light biters too – I was loosing 2 jigs for every fish I hooked, so I finally wrote it off as a losing proposition and headed home.

Caught another typical MacBride walleye – 11″. They’re getting bigger. A few more years and I might be able to fillet one. Anyone ever catch a good ‘eye out of that lake?

We used to catch limits of good walleyes while cranking the flats on Mcbride mostly in the afternoon. By rights we should be catching more now because of the decrease in the shad population. The old rule on Mcbride is when it slows down, go to Coralville. [ John ]
