I went out early this morning to see where I can fish from shore and found a nice little area.
Missouri River, across the way is Nebraska.

Any bites? Or just looking for fishy looking spots?

this is the side with the deeper channel, swifter curent. All you can see is sand, sand is everywhere brought down from the flood two summers ago. Just about every stretch of the river except the main channel is two foot shallower. Upstream the wing dams are washed away.

You fish that area much in a boat? You don’t hear much about spring walleye fishing on that stretch of river.

This time of year Moxie Id fish that little cove because the water may warm up a couple degrees because of less current, the deeper water is probably colder, so thier more apt to come into that area. Id try it at night forsure. I’d fish 4′ of water or shallower and if no luck you can always throw deeper.

Tried this spot last week from shore(no boat), a lot of nibbles but none hooked. Now that it’s warming up it might be different.
