This time the violators had walleyes exceeding the limit.
Five fisherman were arrested with 43 walleyes in possession, 18 over the limit. Sopheap Chhun, 38, Sunny Lau, 40, Heangly Mom, 60, and Saki Mom, 38, all of St Paul and Leigh Ngyuen, 34 of Apple Valley were each fined $150 and $225 costs for a total of $1,875.

Thanks for putting the post in the General section. I don’t come to the ND forum often so I was unaware of the problem. I’m ashamed to see all the poachers are from MN. Also, There have been several articles about SE Asians and poaching in our paper. The one concluded that they arn’t a problem. Sure wouldn’t come to that conclusion from reading these articles.
It wasn’t difficult to come to the conclusion that something fishy was happening in these cases. They have coolers all over the place.
It’s the feeling amongst the locals around here that these poaching episodes are well coordinated. You just can see it by casual observation.
