Salmo Hornet’s……..Question for the aces

I heard enough about these danged things…I read about the #8 being a favorite in the crankbait thread. I am placing an order to cabela’s for some crap I don’t need this evening and thought I would add a couple of these cranks I don’t need either. What size in cabela’s language is a #8? They list the bigger sizes as 2 and 2.5″ ………and what is the go-to standard, the floater or the sinker. Life was so much simpler when my multi-dozen shad rap collection filled my every need….

The Hornet comes in sizes 3,4,5 and 6. The sinking models are common for deep water applications and river current.

The most common sizes for lakes would be the 4 and 5.

Cabelas also is the only retailer to stock the new Salmo Executor.

    Timmy,
I saw your post in the “today’s topics” column, and I was going to write you to say, get ahold of Derek.
Except he is already right ON IT. (great answer Derek).
    So disregard this post..

Derek, when is Salmo going to start selling the jointed cranks that Tony Dean was using last year on Devils Lake?

Are you referring to the Frisky? Scheels has them. They are the only retailer that has them..

Thanks for the info Derek, that looks like the one. I’ll have to have my brother look at the Scheels in Cedar Falls to see if they have them in stock.
