The other night while headed through pierre Meghan and myself were able to take in a nice night throwing cranks for some hungry walleyes. Whenever they are letting water out at any of the damms fishing can be very good for walleyes and usually whitebass will keep you busy. We caught 6 slot fish and a good amount of unders throwing #10 husky jerks in white and clown to an eddy from shore. I highly reconmend oahe downstream camo ground as the view is amazing and a campfire under some mature cottonwoods on the river is a great way to spend a summer evening.

Awesome QB. Having such great shore fishing opportunities out in SD is such a valuable gem!

The Oahe downstream campground is really nice and feels away from everything even though town is just a few miles away. We always fished on the east side of the spillway and when we got done harrassing the walleye in the evening we would go to where the road is barricaded off and catch catfish off that point. There were many days we left the boat on the trailer and just shore fished because it was so easy.
