spawning fish

    I was out after crappies yesterday and the muskies were in the weed beds on Waubesa. I have never seen as many fish in one place before all in 4 feet of water and me with no big fish tackle on board or a camera. It wasn’t a good fishing day but it was a great fish watching day.

    Any big fish? Upper 40s or 50s?

    I had one pair sit right next to me for 10 minutes or more. The female was as long or maybe a hair longer than my gun box which is 54 inches. All of the females I saw were over 40. The males in 30s. It was incredible to be surrounded by so many big fish. I caught a 43 incher on this lake through the ice year before last. It is good water.

    Oh and that crap about spearing being “not easy” is BS. I could have speared any of the fish I saw with no problem. To bad I am a sportsman.
