As Steven Tyler would say, “I’m back in the saddle again!”

I just picked up my new to me Ranger 692 and she is in GREAT conditon. The only problem is that the gunnel caps are faded and oxidized from where the sun would hit the boat in the morning and in the evening under the roof. The rest of the boat sparkles like new so I would like to get the gunnels looking that way. I have never done any kind of fiberglass work but I would really like to do this myself, to make it more meaningful I guess.

I sure would appreciate any help that you could offer me as to how to tackle this project. Like I said, I know nothing about doing something like this but I would really like to do it myself and make it my own. THANKS

OK, what did I miss? Didn’t you just buy a new Tuffy last year?

My old man just had his 96′ ProCraft wetsanded by a fiberglass shop. Cost him $400 and it is unbelievable how good it turned out. He keeps his boat outside on a lift 24/7 all summer long. His black rig looked gray, now it looks new, he forgot it even had red flake.
