I want to upgrade my old fish finder to a sonar/gps combo, I was thinking of the lcx28c, it has a 30 gb hardrive with lake maps installed, anyone have one of these units? It might be more than i need.

I would look at the LCX 27, you should ask yourself the question, are you really going to use the hard drive, if not get the 27. Both units are great, I have a LCX 26 and do not use the hard drive in that.

The 27C or 28C are both great units.

    Wade,
I shot you an e-mail, but accidently put the X-25 rather than the X27.

Will the LCX-27c work with the LCG 2000 puck? I have an extra 2000 puck and would like to order a unit without the puck.

    Thanks,

    Jeremy

My 28 is connected to the network that has a 2000 puck, so I think a 27 should work also.

The 27C will work with the LGC-2000 as part of a network, but not directly connected.
