    I am looking at getting a digital camcorder, I have not done any research on them and was wondering what I should be looking for.. Pixel, speed, size???

    Any help would be great.

    Panasonic MiniDv Pv-Gs300

    3 CCD image sensors + OIS (optical, not digital, image stabilizer), 3.1 digital still capability with the ability to accept add-on lens. Forget zoom… by the 0.45 multiplier lens and you’ll add a full 100% to your field of vision.

    A directional mic will set you back another $250.

    For about $800 on ebay you can get a kit with all the goodies for this model including case, tripod, 2X + 0.45 lenses and some other toss-ins. I’ve been doing a bunch of looking lately as I’m thinking about buying a couple loaner units for staff to use. This unit will get it done and is one on of the very few 3 CCD camcorders on the market in that price range.
