Deck Hand with Water Spike

I purchased a used boat that had a Minn Kota Deck Hand installed on the bow platform. The anchor it came with is simply inadequate in wind on big lakes. Is there any device available that would allow the use of the larger size Water Spike with the Dech Hand? I would imagine that the device would have to guide the anchor to pivot from vertical to horizontal as it lifted it onto the bow deck. Hard to imagine the anchor would last long vertical, swinging on a short tether of rope. If not a Water Spike how about a navy style anchor?

I had the same issue with my boat, Dean M set me up with a narrow necked anchor that works pretty good. I’ll PM Dean and ask him to chime in, I really have no idea where he found it. I was just telling Steve P yesterday it has been over 5 years with that anchor, new record for me being a river boy! Oh yeah, nothing holds like a richter or spike, but this one does ok. What’s Dean’s handle here again? Can someone point him to this thread please?
