hey everyone, im rigging up my new Lowrance elite 5 and i was curious what size fuse to use for the in-line fuse? Also what kind of adhesive do you guys recommend for sealing up the transducer?

    Thanks

no more than three amp. any more and your unit will not be worth repair.

Being it’s new did it not come with a fuse and holder ?

If not, your manual should tell you proper size.

3 amp does sound right tho

Transducer wise you are. Best off buying a, transducer mounting plate, at a Gander, Fleet farm or a boating supply place. Basically its a plastic plate that you mount to the transom, that you mount the transducer to, that allows you to only ever drill two holes in you boat, and move or replace the transducer as needed, again with redrilling your boat. Couple screws and some good silicone that’s made for water and you’re set. Drill the holes apply silicone to the back side of the plate before you mount it on the boat and screw it tight.

That is unless you plan on mounting it inside the hull, which I don’t like or necessaryly reccomend….
