Four fish all over 20in, so with the Wi River slots all are still swimming. 2 at 26in, 1 at 24in, and 1 at 23in. One fish on a crank the rest all came on slip bobbers and fatheads, it was definitely my personal best walleye night, and those 26in are my personal biggest. Aside from these there were plenty of short fish in the 10-14in range and one dandy 17in smallmouth

I’m in Stevens Point, I’m going to school at UWSP so I spend a lot of free time on the river.

The Wisconsin River is a great fishery and with the slot now permanent, days or in your case nights like that, can and will happen for many of us well into the future.
September 15, 2014 at 8:47 am #1454865Very nice…. and as said, keep at it, you’ll pull a repeat someday. There are times down above Lake Wisconsin I’ll blank, then twice I couldn’t catch anything not in the slot. Enjoy your time up there, that part of the river can be a lot of fun. I miss getting up there.

September 15, 2014 at 11:11 am #1454933Its up, and the dam had 4 gates open at least to some level last night, but its on its way down, but still up enough to push those ladies up into some shallower water.
September 15, 2014 at 1:54 pm #1454988Nice job Nick and as said do not rule out it happening again. After the years of the slot last year I believe it is just starting to show it’s rewards on the system.
