My son wants to go musky fishing with me but he doesn’t have the wrist strength to hold the rod tip up with the bigger lures or bring in the bigger fish. So I build him a rod with a longer handle to rest under his arm pit for more leverage. He helped me finish the rod and we also made the lure together that he was using this day. With the extra leverage he had no problem casting and using the rod all day. His first fish was a nice bass and there was many more that came. He is so proud that he made both the rod and lure that caught fish. As you can see in the picture he was pumped. Now it is time to get him onto a musky lake with me to see how he does.

Pick up a few Poe’s super ceaders or Berkeley , new Dredger, those kind of smaller crank bait been killers for years on musky for me . Easy to use. DK.

Thank you for the suggestion on lures catmando. I have many smaller musky lures and crankbaits that he can use with his new rod I made him. He is going through my musky boxes clamming them for himself already and putting them in his box. Now that is my new problem. doah
