Normally I’d tell you to talk to Scott Steil but I think he’s sold out for the year. What unit you looking for? Any preference or dollar range you’re willing to spend?

If you are looking for a flasher? Go thru Scott S. I am having problems with a really old FL8 and don’t know if if will make it to the GTG on LOTW. I PM’ed Scott and I know if things don’t work out with a repair I will be covered. There is no better guy than Scott.

I use an old Vexilar FL8-SLT and it is 13 years old this year. I works terrific and have been very happy with it.
There are newer models these days, but also the price goes way up.
Am sure you could find an old FL8 for very resonable cost.
    Check out the Classified section.

same here a buddy swipes my old vexilar when i cant fish and he’s finally got cash to buy one–so im looking for him too—you won’t go wrong with a vexilar —had mine upgraded yrs ago to deep water and be hard pressed to buy a new one or change to the new waves of techology that everyone seems to be thrilled over. keep a eye out–there out there for sale

Keep a close eye on Craigslist.com. They have used units on there all of the time.

PM Scott S.. He might not have anything now but with the deals he offers it might be worth waiting until he does. I bought two GSX’s from Scott earlier this year and have been very happy with the units. Similar features to the FL18 (No low power setting on the GSX), I can live without that for about half the price tag of a used FL18.

August 9th (13 days) is the next date I’m looking forward to that can’t come fast enough.

This is the date they hold the Drawing for West River Deer Rifle tags in SD and I find out if I will be chasing Muleys & Whitetails (I’m going for another Muley if drawn) in the Black Hills of South Dakota come November. Stacie is also in this year for Rifle. However, I think she is eying up a whitetail instead.

Please, Please, Please pick me. Um I mean us.

Last year there was a 73.5% chance of getting drawn.

    Good luck Lip and Stacie!

It would be great to have this hunt on film!

Oh it will be hopefully. Her brother Tyler is also in for this draw. So between us and if her brother Travis can hold off on the trigger until that week (the last week). We should be able to get some cool and beautiful footage.

I’m guessing we will have to get a little closer then my last shot out there of 450 Yards though.
