There is No closed season for most of the country when it comes to BASSIN….
just MN, WI, and maybe MI.
Read some of Tom Redington’s articles in the Fishing Reports section. He really has been putting on a Bassin clinic down there,, great reports, and BIG fish…
you should hook up with him. he also has an IDA special, I think through March.
Sounds fun! I know those Texas bass can get big so I’d love to hook up…… I just don’t know how easy it’d be to fit into my schedule. Without dedicated runs, I never know where I’m going next…….until I’m about done with the current trip. BUT….. if the situation presents itself, I’ll have to see what I can do. It’s just sad to see all that open water and NO BOATS!
I hear ya stillakid. I’ve been working in College station at TAMU for a couple weeks and it’s killing me driving by open water with no boats out there. Weather sure beats home right now though.
There are lots of fishable waters in Dallas area. I’ve fished a few of them. Lake Fork is east of Dallas about 75 miles. Grapevine is by the airport and is a good lake. White Rock is there, too. Many tourneys held on these lakes. Not to mention Texoma on the OK/TX border.
I was out this morning and was able to harvest a doe, got my buck sticker for next season. Hope every one has a good Thanks Giving! Almost time to gorge.
Congrats guys! I remember harvesting a buck on Thanksgiving morning about 8 years ago. It certainly wasn’t one of my biggest bucks but the feeling I had that morning was incredible knowing it was on Thanksgiving Day! A hunt I will never forget!
