This is the same deer I believe but maybe not. In 2007 it pretty much lived in our corn plots and knocked everything down as it would try to eat. Then late in 2007 I saw it making a scrape after the gun season and was getting around better. It appears to have adapted now and no longer walks on his knee. I am constantly amazed how deer can adapt. What is really interesting, is it still comes out the same trail it has since 2007 and feeds in the same corn field. If this is not the same deer than it is the wounded 6 pointer I saw come past my stand last year chasing a doe.

Is that a slug hole or a puncture wound in his left shoulder?

I thought it was a hole from a shot also but after looking closer it seems to be more of knot on the skin. We are in a rifle zone so my guess is the leg would have been gone with a rifle shot to that area.
