Several crappies last night. All good ones. 10-11″
13 feet of water.

Mike-
Can you give out any general details of the type of area you are fishing or heck, even the exact location! LOL! If I can’t get into the walleyes on Saturday morning, I’m going to hit try and find some crappies. Any suggestions for that area of the river. Thanks for the report.
I only know one spot so I can’t give it away. For advice I would say that I know they catch crappies ice fishing in Bayport during the winter so there must be someplace around there where the crappies spawn. Definitely out of the current. I have never looked. Good luck.
Ive found a number of spawing sites…. check the shorelines for a gravel/rock mix.. they seem to spawn in about 6-9 feet of water… or thats where I catch them… also if you can find a spot with timber in the water as well it will be LOADED with them……
