    i just got off the river at beanies at 730pm, water temp 52.7.

    Thanks Thor, It is considerably warmer than I would have guessed! Soon the crappie bonanza!

    i marked what i think were crappie schooled in tight together in 16-18 ft in some expected spots around the hudson area. the water level is still high, some very fast current around the railroad bridge.

    A lotta water has to squeeze though that venturi which causes it to break into a gallop! Crappies are staging, will soon move to the spawning beds.

    on fri..about 5 crappies..very small, 2 very nice smallies.
