It’s dead in here! We need some dog action.

Ripley turned 6 months old on Friday. He’s tipping the scales at about 60 lbs and is able to keep pace with our neighbors’ dogs now. We’re doing well in our level 1 obedience class, and I’ve got my deposit in for some hunting training this spring.

So far, I am extremely happy with my choice of dog!

Ripley will look great with some thick slough mud stuck to that white fur. grin

Hunting dogs were made to get dirty!

He does like to get muddy, but Spinoni coats are surprisingly self-cleaning. They shed the grime after they dry. He’s only had one bath in the past 4 months, and he looks pretty good!

Burrs, though, are another topic. They take a bit of work to untangle!

I’ll play. Watched the SB with our friends dog George, the cutest ugly dog ever. Ruby our princess boxer prefers her own bed and as many pillows as possible. And Belle Jaune with her bday treat from January when she turned 3.

I love Ripley’s facial expressions. If only we could tell what our dogs are actually thinking. )

Here are my boys, Fritz and Remi playing in the yard.

Here’s a fresh pic of Honey.

Is that a Lego table in the background? Does Honey leave them alone? My son has lost several Legos to Ripley’s curiosity. )

She did get a few early, including a Chewbacca figure, but hasn’t touched them recently. My son has been good about keeping them off the floor once he realized the consequence.

She’s pretty fixated on collecting socks, hats and mittens so she doesn’t have a lot of spare time to chew on legos. smile

We wrapped up level 1 obedience class last night. Level 2 starts soon, and then, he’ll be off to learn from a pro this spring.

Here’s Ripley with his new toy and a pic of that infamous Spinone beard (dripping wet). ) The pic with the toy is after some grooming–you can see his eyes!
