    Hey guys,
I’m in the process of filling out a survey for the University of Minnesota relating to panfish, which I am sure some/many of you may have received. In the survey there is a disambiguously phrased section that I’m not quite sure how to fill out… can anyone break this down a little for me? I’m about to put 3’s down the middle.

Looks like each row or question is basically asking for your preference.

Further left: higher limit but average size of fish in lake is smaller.

Further right: smaller limit but average size of fish in lake is bigger.

At least that’s my interpretation, terrible way to display the question though. It makes it look like choosing strongly not preferred means you are against the option on the left, when really I think it they mean for further left = big limits small fish, further right equals smaller limits big fish.

I kinda thought the same. Looks like it was structured as a slider towards the description of your preference. The nomenclature on top looks to be in error. Maybe copied from a different table but not edited?

When I filled it out I viewed it the same as Philtickelson. Mark the number closest to whether you want more smaller fish or less bigger fish.
