chartreuse pepper
firecracker chartreuse tail
purple chartreuse tail

goldcrackerThat being said, this year will probably be completely different. About 3 years ago, my best colors were catalpa orange paddle tail and a tequila sunrise ringworm.
Buy every color and then you can let the fish tell you what the best color is that day.

Pretty much. I probably have every color, but a half dozen get the most use. The half dozen favorites for me on lake Wisconsin are probably not the same as somebody that fishes clear water. If they aren’t hitting the typical hot colors, I start digging out the rest of the box.

February 22, 2013 at 1:11 pm #1144729I fish primarily Lake Wisconsin, which is tannic stained water. Probably not much different that Castle Rock.
Color definitely makes a difference. It may not be the first piece of the fish catching puzzle, but when your fine tuning, color is definitely a factor that when done right, will put more fish in the boat.
