June 30, 2016 at 2:03 pm #1627168Nice fish! I love it when channels have a big fat belly on them.
pug,
be nice, fish have feelins to bud. we like to say they are healthy or girthy. lolbtw,
very nice HEALTHY sumo channelsChristopher KregelPosts: 4July 6, 2016 at 11:26 pm #1627807The bite has slowed big time in the recent couple weeks. However It seems that some of the females have finished spawning as of recently (noticed one with spawn sores and looked like she just dumped her eggs). This one seemed very healthy and as always was released. I’ve caught the catfish throughout the system but only have two locations that produce the true monsters. It’s not fast and furious with large cut bait but it’s always worth the wait.

Christopher KregelPosts: 4July 14, 2016 at 10:16 pm #1629077Near Madison. Mostly fish Mendota for cats but also venture to Wisconsin river for some surprisingly big channels and flatheads. Just started using my walleye rod with floats to suspend baits near deep weedlines. Been a blast catching cats on 8 pound test.
