    2013 Metro Cat League

    Boundaries:

Mississippi River: Pool 1 at Coon Rapids Dam to the Redwing dam at the downstream side of pool 3(fishing below redwing dam NOT allowed)

St Croix River: from the high bridge(Arcola) north of Stillwater south to the confluence at Prescott/Hastings

Minnesota River: The Chaska boat launch and downstream to the confluence.

Legal Angling methods and bait are dictated by regulations pertaining to the body of water you are fishing and not limited by contest restrictions. Any fish caught during league hours within the boundaries of the regulations may be entered.

Control Item: A control item will be provided before the beginning of the season to be included in a photo or video of the fish to be submitted. There will be a code given league nights to be included in the fish photos via text message or call.

Fish Entries: All entries will be measured Length + Girth rounded to the nearest 1/2″. Take a Photo or Video of the fish with the control item(s) and text or email them to me by 5pm the following day(sunday). 1 fish of each specie will be allowed per participant each league night. Entries and standings will be posted on CatGeeks, IDO, and most likely HSO(still need to obtain permission for HSO)and can also be obtained by phone. This league will have participants from all the popular webites but is not directly affiliated to any. It is an independant 100% payout league for fun.

Late Entries will not be permitted

Cheating wont be tolerated, this league is about getting out and having a good time.

Dates: 6 league nights, nightly payout and your best 5 entries will count towards the season total. 6pm – 3am fishing hours.

We reserve the right to cancel/reschedule any date pending unsafe weather or boating conditions.

    May 18th
    June 1st
    June 22nd
    July 6th
    July 20th
    August 3rd

This Will be a Captain / Rider Lottery system. We need at least as many captains as riders for the league. If we end up Captain heavy some captains may need to volunteer to be a rider some nights and this will be predetermined before the final schedule is posted. When all league entries are obtained I will post a schedule. If a captain or rider cant make it, a sub will be allowed to fill in. If you pull a no show(pending major emergency) you may be banned from the league and your fee will be forfeit.

Captain and Rider Etiquette… Captains and riders will have to figure out themselves their plan, and the sharing of expenses. Poor sortsmanship or problematic Riders or Captains can be banned from the league.

Fee’s and Payouts: $50 per participant per season. Cash, Check, or Money Order by April 20th. This can be made in person or by mail.

Welcome back! This sounds fun. Might have to give it a try if schedule permits.
