Fishing or football, fishing or football? Too late. Already on my way to the launch. Too nice out.

Fishing always trumps sitting and watching any kind of sports! stan

I can’t even watch live sporting events any longer unless I’m at the game. The commercials or more importantly the length of them drives me nuts. I just DVR the vikes and watch them at my leisure in about 30 minutes versus wasting 3 hours of my time/life!

    Go Vikes..

Fishing will always trump any spectator event, unless maybe you’re watching your own progeny play ; )

I’m all about getting excited about what I’m doing as apposed to getting excited about others are accomplishing!

I have a radio. That means football AND fishing. Why not have both?

There’s nothing quite like sitting bankside or in a boat, watching the river roll by while listening to the Vikes or Gophers get beat. Any fish that happen along are just icing on the cake.

I will tell you I fished last Friday night and there was not another soul on Lake Mendota and we smackedem pretty good. I love September. Hey Pier, better check your DVR, I understand the football played by the Vikes tends to make them melt out of pity.

Kev you wouldn’t know what a DVR is if it hit you in the “cheese” head..

And Ben, fishing?, don’t KID yourself I haven’t seen you do anything but carry groceries or that little CornHusker of yours into the house since he popped out.

Pier, yeah, that’s how it’s been this year. And most of last year. And with another one on the way, it doesn’t look like it’s gonna change anytime soon. The next one’s due date is around deer opener, so I kinda shot myself in the foot on that one.

Thankfully, I can watch the kid and football at the same time. It’s a decent consolation prize.

Oh no not the corn huskers. We get to welcome them to the Big Ten in a few weeks. I withhold all of my Black Skirt jokes until after then.

We just had our 3rd Cornhusker family move in behind me here in the hood recently.
I’m darn near surrounded now by FARMERS, which isn’t such a bad thing I guess!

    Go Gophs~
