We got to our first spot, and in less than 5 minutes, I had some serious rod tip action, but no clicker run, I took the pole out after a few minutes of this, and after a very short burst on the clicker, and felt for the fish, I reeled up, felt nothing,a few more times, Finally I felt a fish and it was on…..I saw the fish the first time and thought it was a small Falthead, then the second time I saw it, I knew I had Mr. Marble Eye. Nice fish to start the year, but not the type I was looking for….. This pic does no justice as to how thick this fish was..

Very nice way to start the season! I see you you found a real psychedelic spot! Sounds like you may have had a few more pigs interested in your bait as well. Congrats on the nice eye

Doc, how can you hold that thing without gloves!?

Funny how those walleyes will fool a person into thinking there’s a leaf on the hook.
