Checked Burntside’s south shore accesses today and found under 7″ of ice at the west end public access. There was 8 inches of ice out of the east basin south shore access points and I didn’t bother checking the north side accesses as they are almost always thinner than the rest of the lake. Just got off the phone with Smittys on Snowbank and they have 9″ of ice on their road, the public access is likely to be thinner as it hasn’t had any 4-wheeler plowing to my knowledge. If you access Snowbank from Smittys, please stop in to check the recent updates and to donate for their plowing. I would not reccomend driving off their plowed roads as variable ice has been detected in many spots, reporting dangerously thin areas. Good luck out there guys and gals and be safe!

Thanks for the update! It’s much appreciated. The Van Vac public access on the south central portion have about the same?
