black growth in crappie

    Anyone ever see this in a crappie? Had a black growth in the thick part of the fillet about the size of a marble.

    Did the crappie smoke a pack of cigarettes a day????,or maybe it’s a new way to traffic black tar heroin??? Sneaky drug traffickers..

    Maybe a cyst that formed around something that got jabbed into the fish. I found a broadhead inside a cyst that was imbedded in the abdominal wall of a deer I shot one fall. Hard telling really. I’ve never seen a growth inside any animal that was black.
