Looking at getting an Otter Pro Lodge. Was wondering who or where had the best prices on them whether it be a chain store, online, or a local place. I’m located in South Dakota.

    Any help is greatly appreciated,
    Thanks!

I found the best price last year on Amazon I would look multiple times a day and got it on November 16th for $759.20 with free shipping. You just have to be patient and check often but sooner or later Amazon will drop the price.

Thanks gator, I’ll keep am eye out. Was there any sort of a trend to the pricing? Or did it just so happen to be way cheaper one day than the other?

L&M Fleet in store is usually $750 plus tax. That price will not be online. They usually are $200 less than at Scheels but Scheels will price match at least in Fargo.

Yes the Pro XT1200 Thermal with seats and not the bench. These are prices from 11-2015 but were same last year.

Awesome, thanks. I’ve been on the hunt for a good deal for a little over a month and havent seen anything under 900. Maybe its a south dakota thing.

Unfortunately there was no trend just complete randomness. And when it does go on sale at Amazon you better jump on it because it seems like when they drop the price significantly they don’t drop it for long. The hunt for a good price although frustrating is kinda fun and kept me occupied while waiting for the ice. Joe’s Sporting goods in MN also had some good prices at time but no free shipping. If you have a Joe’s or L&M nearby them would probably be the best chance at getting a good deal.

I don’t know what price he will have but Todd at Dakota Angler has been talking about really good prices at the Ice Institute this weekend in Sioux Falls.

I’ve been hearing the same thing, it would be nice to know what those prices will be. I’ve never been to a big ice fishing convention. Do you by chance know what kind of a deal he’s giving?

I don’t, but I would guess it will be a cheap as you are going to find. It is good to shop and know what others are selling them for. Prices seems to vary a lot. Give them a call and ask what price they will have at the show.

Also if you plan to get a hifax kit, hitch and cover let them know that. If you buy more they may give you a better deal. Sometimes cash will save you some at these ice shows as well.

I bet you can get a good price at the ice show in St. Paul. Especially on the last day.

I checked today and the L&M Fleet price in store is still $749.99 plus tax. Hard to beat that price.

I was ready to jump on one last year. Then I googled it and found one at Joe’s for $650. online. Called to verify, then went to pick it up the following week. Saved a ton shopping around. That’s the best price i’ve seen. Should of bought more and sold them.

Right on. I was just curious how good of deals they are going to have. I hope it works out for you. It looks like Todd put together a really nice show. Lots of industry names. I hope the crowds show up too.

Ended up with the pro lodge for 759 plus tax, total was 808 and change. Great deal for South Dakota, cheapest I’ve seen. Figured 749 + MN sales tax would run abot 801. They tossed in an otter stocking hat and a set of 3 hooks for free. The accessories for the shack (cover, hitch, hifax) were 10 % off

Good deal. Glad it worked out. I am sure you will like it. I have been debating buying one also.

    How was the crowd?

What part of South Dakota are you from? We fish the Watetown, Clark, Webster area quite a bit in the summer. We always talk about trying it in the winter, but we never end up making it. Maybe this year.
