what was your deal of the year? what purchase was your best thing this year, it could be a new product or just a smoking hot deal on a new to you purchase.
My best this year is a helix 7. I bought a couple of sleds and some tackle boxes at an auction but this depth finder is really usefull. I have the 999 di si and this unit is aneasy double thumbs up. the only downside so far is the battery life.

Milwaukee fuel drill. Got it around Black Friday time. 3 batteries, charger, drill and case for $238 shipped. Put it on my Laser 7″ hand auger bit and it works great. Wondering if I take the 8″ bit off my Strikemaster power auger how it will handle the 8″ bit. I’m sure it would drill easily with that also.

Good buy. If it doesn’t rust out, that 3.8 engine will run forever. Couple things to watch for— intake leaking antifreeze (it gets into the cylinders and will hydro-lock) and engine cradle mounts rust out.

funny you say that skeeter. Full disclosure, the guy thought he had tranny trouble because it clunked when put in gear. I had a hunch it was most likely the motor mount. I was right. $250 fix. yay

Love the lithium shuttle $210 at the sports show. Not so much the price but the way it completes my LX6. Plus I got to fish side by side with another lx6 owner and we compared experience and I totally dialed in the package!

I was the recipient of a very kind gesture from an IDO member, of which I never got his name. He was setting up a savage MSR and having some issues with his loads for it. Reached and talked to me for about half hour or a little more on the phone. About 2 weeks later I get a box of 100 Norma brass sent to me for one of my short mags. He never asked my address , or anything. Just a kind gesture and he went through the hassle and $$$ when a simple “thank you” was enough.

Thanks Nick, and actually the one I wanted was even more detailed but it sold. They are truly a work of art.

Pike, that’s what I hear. They are an engineering marvel. They were originally made to burn coal.

I’m hoping to have it set up and ready for a fire in late Feb.

Blew a front tire on my old Deere food plot tractor. Both fronts were rotted so not really a surprise. What wa a surprise was that the fronts were a nearly obsolete 14 inch size and the only ones I could find were $200 each plus shipping.

Lucked out and called the right ag tire shop. They set me up with new 15 inch rims which have much cheaper tire options. $200 out the door for new tires on new rims. Felt like a deal.
