Bear hunting prediction

As most of you know I spend pretty much every spare minute food plotting hunting or scouting I have hunted and guided for bear in Aitkin county for more than 25 years. Up until 2 weeks ago I wasn’t very optimistic about this year as the berries were thicker than hair on a dog!! This last Sunday I was able to scout some of my best bear hunting areas. I was very surprised to see no berries left and just a few very small acorns, this along with the Number of bear complaints and all of the crop damage on my own property I think this will be a record year for the bear harvest in my area

Update… baits are getting pounded It’s going to be a spendy year for bait

I lucked out on my prediction everyone I know in our area is tagged out. I don’t know of a bait that wasn’t hit.
Hopefully next year will be as good as this year
