Nelson-Wabasha Dike Road

    Can I access some decent bass fishing areas from the landings on the road between Nelson and Wabasha? Never fished the area, so I would appreciate any help I can get.

    All kinds of bass areas available from those dike road landings. This is one of my favorite top water haunts come early June.

    Great minds think alike, never fished that area but was preparing to launch there next time out. Can those landings handle a bass boat?

    Just saw this question…

    I see bass boats in and around these areas all the time however I think the big boats enter these backwaters from below….come up from the big lake on the S’conie side. I put my jon in off the launching pad found at the second cement bridge and have to make my way out of that lagoon thru a small, very shallow cut. My short shaft 20 will tick rocks if I am not careful. This launch affords the most access to these waters, in my opinion.

    I won’t say larger boats can’t launch, but I’d be darned careful about getting around until you find ample water.
