Access point between Gunderson and Goose Island

    Is there a place for people to access the river South of swift creek behind Gunderson but north of Goose Island? Looking to walk on. A little worried about ice conditions to drive a wheeler on in that area.

    There used to be access behind that State Office Building on the end of Mormon Coulee Road.. it very well may be gone now as I haven’t lived in LaCrosse since about 1980..

    Ironmike you could walk in on the West side from 7th Street – drive south past the 7th street boat landing and go in on the left, past the old folks homes. If you want to be further south toward the gravel pit, you could park behind the Diocese building. There’s an enormous unused parking lot behind the building.
